'See Ya Later Alligator' Card...

Sorry it has taken me so long to post. Yesterday morning I came back on holiday from 15 days in Europe so, as you can guess, I've been quite busy :)

Tonight I finally finished off a card which I had had sitting around for ages but I just didn't know what to do with it. I had the alligator/crocodile cricut cut cut out and put together and I was happy with most of the layers of the card but I just didn't know where to position the alligator or what else to put on the card. Eventually I came up with this...
I suppose it's for a going away/goodbye card although I don't need to send one at the moment - I'm sure it will be handy sometime in future if I need a goodbye/going away card on short notice.

The sentiment/speech bubble reads 'See ya later alligator' - hence the "alligator" (or crocodile) on the front of the card.

To add  interest in the top left-hand corner I added two rhinestone brads as it was looking a little plain without them. I also added medium sized googly eyes to the alligator as well as tiny black rhinestones in the nostrils (although you can't see them in the pictures) and embossed (lined) paper for teeth.

I think it turned out alright...at least it finished though. :)

The alligator is from create a critter and the paper range is ironically called 'See Ya Later Alligator' by Upsy Daisy Designs. I used "Alphabet soup" (double sided) for this card. To add 'scales' to the alligator I used the 'mesh texture' cuttlebug folder and also used various coloured inks to liven up the colours/card. If you would like to know further details and/or dimmensions of the card just leave a comment or send me an email :)

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I'll have another post up soon :)

Fingers crossed I'm not too busy and remember to post,
Katie x

P.S. Happy Easter! I should be posting some easter related projects sometime in the near future (if all goes well). Hope you have a wonderful and joyous weekend as we celebrate and commemorate the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
